Thibeaux, a graduate of Saint Augustine's University (Bachelors, Communications) and Grambling State University (Masters, Sports Administration) is a former athlete, coach, and commissioner for Team Cali baseball, a traveling baseball team geared toward addressing the disparities of urban youth in college and professional baseball. He also served on the Antioch, CA Parks and Recreation board from 2011 to 2012, and was a guest speaker and panelist for the Boys to Men Conference in June 2018 in Houston, TX. He is the CEO of BMT Enterprises, a Christian, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Brent and his wife Melissa relocated to Dallas from Oakland, CA in October 2016.
